Lauren Alyssa Extrom (she/her/hers) is a vocalist, musician, producer, songwriter, music director, teaching artist, and RYT 200 certified trauma-informed yoga teacher.
Lauren’s sound has been described as floaty and resonant, yet warm and powerful. Her music production style includes lots of layered vocals paired with soulful grooves. Her musical influences include Hiatus Kaiyote, Lianne La Havas, Stacey Ryan, Sophia James, Carole King, Lady Gaga, Doris Day, Judy Garland, Alicia Keys, and Sara Bareilles.
Lauren just finished making her first ever EP, entitled “This Blue Woman,” which will be available for purchase on Friday, August 15, 2025. It falls somewhere between the genres of indie pop and contemporary/pop jazz.
Lauren also is the owner of LAS Voice Studio, which offers virtual and in-person lessons in voice, piano, music theory, and songwriting.
Lauren is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Arts and Sciences with degrees in Music and American Studies, with concentrations in voice and musicology. She is also a graduate of New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development with a Masters in Performing Arts Administration, with a concentration in arts education.
